HAVE A SMALL ENGINE REPAIR QUESTION?

Read our answers to common questions about on-site mobile service, tune-ups, pricing, and machine winterization in Montana.

It's simple: you call or book online, and we bring a fully equipped mobile repair shop directly to your home or business in the Great Falls area. Our technician diagnoses and repairs your lawn mower, snow blower, generator, or tractor right on-site. You don't have to haul anything, lift heavy machinery, or wait weeks at a shop.

Yes, we charge a standard travel and diagnostic fee to cover fuel, transit time, and the initial troubleshooting phase. We always provide this pricing upfront when you book. Once diagnosed, we give you a clear, transparent estimate for parts and labor before any work begins.

We service almost all major small engine manufacturers, including Briggs & Stratton, Honda, Kohler, Toro, Husqvarna, Tecumseh, Kawasaki, Subaru, LCT, and Ariens.

We repair gas-powered walk-behind push mowers, self-propelled mowers, riding mowers, lawn tractors, snow blowers, portable generators, log splitters, pressure washers, garden tillers, leaf blowers, and wood chippers.

We stock our mobile service vehicles with the most common replacement parts (spark plugs, filters, carburetors, belts, cables, starter coils). If your machine requires a specialized OEM part, we will order it immediately, secure your unit, and return to complete the repair as soon as the part arrives. You do not pay an additional trip fee for the return visit.

Most standard repairs, such as carburetor cleaning, blade sharpening, spark plug replacement, or tune-ups, take between 45 to 90 minutes. You are welcome to watch our technician work or go about your day while we service your machine.

Engine surging is a sign that the carburetor is partially clogged, usually due to stale, varnished fuel. The engine is gas-starved and tries to compensate by adjusting the governor. We can solve this with a professional ultrasonic carburetor cleaning or rebuilding on-site.

No, we specialize exclusively in gasoline-powered small engines (2-stroke and 4-stroke). We do not service diesel machinery, battery-powered equipment, or electric lawn mowers at this time.

You can book service by calling us directly at (406) 781-5012, emailing contact@flyingwrench.com, or using the contact form on our website to describe your equipment and starting issues.
